ZIRO PACKAGE
5 Night 6 Days
About the place
Arunachal Pradesh, known as the "land of dawn-lit mountains," is a hidden gem in Northeast India, surrounded by the mystique of the Himalayas, dense forests, and captivating landscapes. Our 5-night, 6-day trip to Ziro begins in Guwahati, often called the 'city of Eastern Light,' set on the southern banks of the Brahmaputra River. Guwahati is the gateway to Northeast India, rich in culture and natural beauty. We then head to Bhalukpong, located at the Assam-Arunachal border, known for its Kameng River and scenic hills. Continuing our journey, we reach Ziro, a serene town at 5600 ft, home to the unique Apatani tribe. Here, you’ll explore the fascinating 'pisciculture' system, where fish and rice are cultivated together. The region is also famous for its beautiful Tarin Fish Farm and the local market at Hapoli. Ziro also offers a visit to Hong village, the largest tribal village in Asia, where you can experience the ancient Apatani culture. The best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh is during summer (April to June) when the valley is in full bloom, or winter (October to February) for those who want to witness snow-covered landscapes. Ziro is a must-visit for a true cultural and natural retreat.
