Valley Of Flowers Trek is extremely vast, furnished with never-ending meadows and was declared a national park in 1982. Now it is a World Heritage Site. Altitude is – 12140 feet If you didn’t know It is home to endangered species and rare animals. From the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk bear, brown bear to red fox and blue sheep and even birds, you will also find high altitude birds like Himalayan Monal Pheasant.
The valley not only is welcoming you with flowers but on the way get to witness huge gorge and small streams flowing by. After hours of laborious trekking, your heart will skip a beat, and the enthusiasm is electrifying “Boom” there goes the vast endless drop-dead gorgeous, exquisite valley. The feeling will be so compelling and sensational. This will remind of those hours how one has struggled to come here just to witness this magic which can melt anyone’s heart.

Itinerary
Day 1
Haridwar - Govindghat
Meet your trek guide at Haridwar Railway Station at 7 am, where they will give you an overview of the journey.
The drive to Govindghat will take you alongside the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers, crossing Devprayag along the way.
Rest and acclimatize to the altitude at the base camp, located at 1,828 m (5,997 ft), and enjoy dinner before settling into your hotel/homestay for the night.
The Valley of Flowers trek begins at Govind Ghat, a pilgrim village beyond Joshimath.
You don't need to bring food or hire porters or mules for this trail, but you can find a porter for your backpack in Govindghat.
Make all necessary calls before starting the trek, as BSNL is available in Govindghat.
Note - It is advisable to reach Haridwar a day earlier to avoid any delays. We start the uphill drive to Govind Ghat via Joshimath.
Day 2
Govindghat - Ghangharia Trek
During the trek, you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the green forests and the Laxman Ganga River.
The initial path of the trek is motorable, and it can be crowded with Sikh pilgrims on their way to the holy Hem Kund.
However, the trek route remains a gradual incline throughout the day, making it a comfortable journey.
You will find several eateries and dhabas along the way, so you do not need to carry food for the day.
After completing the trek, you can check-in at the hotel or guest house in Ghangaria and enjoy an energizing lunch.
You can also explore the town of Ghangaria before calling it a day and enjoy dinner at the hotel as you prepare for the next day's trek.
Note - Please carry your water bottles along. You can refill them from the dhabas on the way!
Day 3
Ghangaria - Hemkund - Ghangaria
The Hemkund Sahib trek is a challenging 6 km journey with an elevation of 9,600 ft to 14,107 ft, taking 9 to 10 hours to complete.
To start, fuel up with an early breakfast and be prepared for a demanding day.
The terrain remains steep, and oxygen levels decrease as you ascend, so take regular breaks to avoid altitude sickness.
The stunning views make the effort worthwhile.
At Hemkund Sahib, take a moment to appreciate the tranquil surroundings and visit the Gurudwara.
The descent to Ghangaria can be tough, but the thrilling experience makes up for it.
Rest up in Ghangaria for the night and recharge for the next adventure.
Day 4
Ghangaria - Valley of Flowers - Ghangaria
The trek to the Valley of Flowers takes place at a height of 9,600 ft to 11,500 ft and back.
The day begins at the crack of dawn, and trekkers can enjoy a magnificent sunrise from their place of stay.
After breakfast, the trek to the Valley of Flowers begins, which is located at a height of 3505 m or 11,500 ft. The terrain is a relatively easy, level walk in the Valley of Flowers.
Upon reaching the gates of the Valley of Flowers National Park, trekkers will obtain the necessary tickets and head inside.
The scenery changes subtly at first, leading to a beautiful old bridge built over a stream that bubbles through the park.
After crossing the bridge, the valley opens up on one side, revealing a stunning vista of a seemingly endless expanse of flowers of all colours and kinds, such as Geraniums, Himalayan Rose, Blue Poppy, the Dog Flower, and many other species in different vibrant colours.
After lunch, trekkers begin the trek back to Ghangaria, where they can rest, have dinner, and call it a day.
The Valley of Flowers is a botanist's fairyland, where one can find flowers, leaves, buds in various shapes, sizes, and colours during trekking.
Note - You have to leave Ghangria at 6.00 AM so that you can spend more time at Valley of Flowers. The path divides in less than a kilometre
Day 5
Ghangaria - Govindghat
The trek starts at an altitude of 9,600 ft and descends to 6,300 ft via 7,200 ft. It is expected to take around 4 hours to cover a distance of 9 km, which will be followed by a 4 km drive.
The trek gradient is an easy descent to Poolna. After waking up and enjoying a beautiful sunrise and satisfying breakfast, the trek will begin early for the descent back to Govindghat.
A lunch break will be taken at Govindghat before continuing to the destination for the day.
The goal is to reach the destination early enough to have ample time to explore surrounding places like Auli at your leisure. This is where you will be spending the night and having dinner.
Note - Do not forget to carry your water bottles along. You can refill them from the dhabas on the way!
Day 6
Govindghat - Haridwar
The day's journey begins with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a long drive towards Haridwar.
The group anticipates reaching their destination late in the afternoon, marking the end of their journey together.
