TAWANG PACKAGE

6 Night 7 Days

About the place

Arunachal Pradesh, one of India's most remote and least explored states, is a hidden gem in the northeastern region. Known as "The Land of Dawn-Lit Mountains," it offers awe-inspiring views of the mighty Himalayas, tranquil valleys, and rugged terrains. The state remains untouched by mass tourism, allowing for an authentic, serene travel experience. Our 6-night, 7-day trip begins in Guwahati, the capital of Assam, located on the southern banks of the Brahmaputra River. From there, we head to Bhalukpong, a town on the Assam-Arunachal border, surrounded by lush forests and the Kameng River. Next, we visit Dirang, a peaceful village nestled at an altitude of 4,900 feet, known for its serene atmosphere and picturesque landscape. Continuing our journey, we arrive at Sangestar Tso Lake (PTS0 Lake), one of the highest-altitude lakes in the world at 15,200 feet, on the way to Tawang. Tawang, situated at 10,000 feet, is renowned for the Tawang Monastery, the largest in India, and its stunning natural beauty. En route, we also explore Bomdila and its monastery offering panoramic views. The ideal time to visit Arunachal Pradesh is from April to June for pleasant weather, or October to February for a snowy winter experience.
